Dan and Kathy Misiaszek started the Wimberley Chair Company in a small shop in 2012 after trying to find outdoor furniture for their hill country ranch and coming up empty. Most chairs available were poorly made, rickety contraptions that broke apart quickly. Some managed to hang on for a while before succumbing to the hill country heat. It seemed like every few years they had to buy more chairs, and pay a premium for them, despite knowing that they weren't getting a quality product.
Tired of this buy-repeat process, and not satisfied with the sub-par options available, Dan and Kathy made their own chairs. Dan came up with the design after many hours of research and they built the first Wimberley Chairs purely to enjoy their own property more. Their chairs more than held their own against the challenges of the Texas Hill Country, and friends and family began to ask were they got the chairs from. Dan and Kathy made a few chairs for family, and then some for friends, and then started selling some on craigslist. Wimberley Chairs were the first premium chair available that would thrive in the harsh climate of the Texas Hill Country, provide excellent value, and look good outdoors. Demand for Wimberley Chairs exploded and continues to grow.
Dan and Kathy knew that outdoor furniture helps you make the most out of the space that you have and allows you to really enjoy simply being outside. They built Wimberley Chairs to allow people to do just that- enjoy being outside. Don't settle for a second-rate product that fails in just a couple years, costing you more in the long run. Wimberley Chairs has satisfied customers all over the state- both families and businesses- and can help you enjoy your outdoors, too!
Wimberley Chair Company was founded in 2012 by Dan and Kathy Misiaszek and sold to Max McCaskill in 2023.
We have been part of the Wimberley community for many years. Max grew up in Wimberley and achieved Eagle Scout after 13 years participating in community service and local conservation projects, river trash cleanups, landscaping projects at EmilyAnn Theatre, and planting trees at Blue Hole and Jacobs Well that still grow to this day. For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Max built a covered area with benches on the North Trail at Jacobs Well Nature Preserve, overlooking the valley and hills.
